Brooklyn-based creative label MSCHF has collaborated with INRI (Iesus Nazaraeus Rex Iudaeorum) to create a custom AIR MAX 97 Jesus Shoes Walk On Water nspired by the biblical story of Jesus walking on water from Matthew 14:25.

Each shoe is filled with 60cc of water sourced from the River Jordan, which has been blessed, allowing wearers to symbolically “walk on Holy Water.” MSCHF continues its religious themes by referencing The Vatican’s iconic red shoes and intricate jewels. The customized design features red insoles scented with Frankincense, a steel crucifix on the laces, and the inscription of Matthew 14:25 on the toe box. The shoe’s overall muted, water-inspired color palette is accented with red details.
